THE END aka afterlife of the american (SW) experience=)

4th day back in Estonia is coming to an end, I am almost getting used to the time difference, the rain and speaking Estonian instead of English:) It feels nice to be home - to sleep in my own bed, cook in my own kitchen, walk my dog on the familiar trails and enjoy life with people who make me feel loved and appreciated.
Today I read the SW blogs and the Newsletter from the bookfield - it made me a little nostalgic, feeling sad and happy at the same time. Mixed emotions, nothing new to me, yet still hard.
Still, everything happens for a reason. I know that if I had not had the bike accident and all the health problems that came with it - I wouldn't have had the chance to travel around Oregon, the lovely dinners wouldn't probably have happened and I wouldn't have a normal tan that I have right now. So all in all it turned up good. It is a great program with awesome people and I am happy I got the experience.
In addition to that, because of all the crap that happened I am here right now. Otherwise I wouldn't have had any summer in Estonia. Now that I returned early, I can spend time with people for who I didn't have enough time for in the past year.
It is good to have high ambitions and thrive to climb as high as possible, but every now and then one has to look around, take it in - cause it might all be gone tomorrow!
Carpe diem:)

Portland-Houston-Nashville-Chicago-Helsinki-Tallinn

2 days in airports and on airplanes was actually quite fun, exhausting but fun! First adrenaline rush came in Portland airport, when I put my suitcase on the scale...number run and *drums* 54 pounds, 4 pounds overweight - luckily I could take some things out ant squeeze then into my carry-on, which killed my hands all the way home, but at least I didn't have to pay extra fees anywhere.
First stop Houston, Texas - I went out of the airport for about 2 minutes and that was totally enough. 8 pm 102 °F (39 °C) and humid. I liked that airport, spent a little over 5h there, since my connecting flight was late. As a reminder I have a pink "HOUSTON" sweatshirt:) Inter-terminal train drove through the hotel lobby, that was an interesting experience.
Arrival in Nashville 11.30pm, spent the night on a relatively comfortable couch next to a Starbucks that opened 4.30 am. I even managed to sleep a little over an hour. My sleep was guarded by US ARMY! In Nashville I had to check in my luggage again, after a long look on my ticket sheet and my passport the cashier asks: "Your VISA is until 30.October, why are you already going back to Estonia?" Since I was sleep deprived and sick of the Americans superiority towards Eastern Europe, I don't even bother to put on my fake american smile and said "Cause I WANT to" For reply I get a slightly embarrassed face a quiet "Have a safe trip"
Chicago O'Hare International airport was my favorite of all the 7 airports I visited during my trip. I liked the design, atmosphere and they have good shrimp:) When I got on the Helsinki plane and after english greetings and security announcement came finnish - that felt good, almost like home:) The American Eagle intercontinental plaine was not as good as The Finnair one. In the Finnair plane, everybody had their personal screen with multimedia system, wine was complimentary and the food was better. Luckily I was tired enough that I slept 4h out of the 9h flight. My seat and the pillow was not enough, so when I woke up I discovered that I had unknowingly used the shoulder of the person sitting next to me as a pillow. Luckily he didn't mind at all and said that it was actually quite amusing how deeply I was sleeping=)
Helsinki airport felt so weirdly quiet and small. I mas there from 8.30am till 10am, which should be a busy time, but it was soooo quiet and there were so few people. Guess I was ruined by the big american airports. The Tallinn flight was half empty! Seeing familiar buildings and the Ülemiste lake from the window felt heart warming:) Welcome to Estonia=)

I have never seen sth so beautiful!

July.30th was the day of my summer! Crater lake is just goregous, breathtakingly beautiful, I was just speechless! And the mountain air - so clean! 6000 ft from the sea level, end of july, snow everywhere... The pristine nature I saw today is stored in my mind forever. Since no words will be enough to describe the peauty I experienced I will just add some pictures here:)
What a wonderful world, special thanks for Cindy and Brad for taking me there!
